Hello parents of North Vancouver and West Vancouver,

If you missed our first North Vancouver event hosted by the DPAC or would like to refer a friend, here’s another chance to see our workshop series. All are welcome!

LGBTQ+ Awareness for Parents

Hosted by the Lynn Valley Library
Are you curious to learn more about LGBTQ+ awareness and understanding?
1 in 5 students in British Columbia identify as not exclusively heterosexual. If that’s not your kids, it’s
your kid’s friends…or your friend’s kids! Isolation is difficult for anyone, but LGBTQ+ kids face this at
home, at school, and in our community. Interested parents are invited to join Michele and Caroline,
LGBTQ+ identified parents, for an open discussion on building communities and homes that welcome
diversity, and discover how compassion and connection benefit every child and every parent.
